The Companies section within Bearish OS CRM allows users to manage all organizations that they interact with. Whether you are dealing with clients, partners, suppliers, or other business entities, this section provides a comprehensive and customizable framework for organizing and managing company details, interactions, and associated deals.

Key Features of Managing Companies

  1. Adding Companies

    • Manual Addition: Users can manually create a company profile by filling out essential fields like company name, description, domain, and social links (e.g., LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Twitter).
    • Batch Imports: Companies can be imported in bulk using CSV files or other supported formats, making it easy to migrate data from other CRM systems or external sources.
    • Dynamic Company Creation: Companies are automatically created or enriched when contacts interact with an organization through various Bearish OS centers (e.g., Messaging, Calendar, Projects). This ensures the CRM stays up to date with minimal manual effort.
  2. Customizing Company Information

    • Default Fields: Every company profile includes default fields such as:
      • Company Name
      • Company Logo or Image
      • Description of the company
      • Domain (website URL)
      • Social Media Links (LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Facebook, etc.)
      • Primary Location (address)
      • Employee Count
      • Estimated ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue)
      • Founding Date
      • Funding Amount (if available)
    • Custom Fields: Like contacts, companies can be customized with additional fields, such as industry-specific data, numeric fields, or important milestones (e.g., contract renewal dates, company ratings).
  3. Tracking Interactions and Activities

    • Activity Log: Every interaction with the company is recorded in an activity log, providing a detailed timeline of communication (emails, calls, meetings) and other key events. For instance, you can track when the company was added to the CRM, meetings held, deals discussed, and more.
    • Associated Communications: Messages, emails, and calls related to the company are automatically tracked and displayed within the company's communication history.
    • Deal and Contact Association: Any deals or contacts that are tied to the company are displayed directly within the company's profile. This allows you to see which employees within your organization are working with the company and what deals are in progress.
  4. Managing Relationships

    • Relationship Strength Indicator: This feature automatically calculates and displays the strength of your company’s relationship with the entity, based on communication frequency and type. Over time, the system can identify which internal user has the strongest relationship with the company.
    • Groups and Tags: Companies can be tagged and grouped based on custom categories like "Clients," "Vendors," or "Strategic Partners." These tags allow for efficient filtering and sorting of company data.
    • Associated Deals and Contacts: Each company’s profile will show all associated contacts and deals, providing a complete view of the organization’s interactions with your business.
  5. Viewing and Editing Company Profiles

    • Company Dashboard: The company dashboard serves as a centralized view of all relevant details, including its logo, description, activity log, associated deals, and contacts. From here, users can quickly update company details or review recent interactions.
    • Company Notes: Add important notes related to the company, such as observations from meetings or strategic insights. These notes are stored within the company’s profile and can be shared across teams.
    • Audit Trail: Keep track of all changes made to the company profile, including edits, new interactions, and updates. The audit trail ensures transparency and accountability across your team.
  6. Enrichment via Third-Party APIs

    • Clay Integration: The Bearish OS CRM integrates with third-party services like Clay and Brand Fetch to enrich company profiles with additional data like funding rounds, company revenue, employee count, and more.
    • Automated Data Enrichment: When a new company is added, data enrichment services can automatically fill in missing fields such as the company’s social media presence, financial information, or employee statistics. This streamlines the data entry process and ensures accuracy.
  7. Permissions and Access Control

    • Role-Based Permissions: Users can be assigned full or limited access to company profiles based on their role within the organization.
      • Full Access: Users with full access can edit the company profile, associate deals or contacts, and manage communications.
      • Limited Access: Users with limited access may only view the company’s basic information and activity logs. They cannot make any edits or access sensitive details.
    • Shared Access: Permissions can be shared across teams, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary access to company data when needed.
  8. Integration with Other Bearish OS Centers

    • Connected Workspaces & Projects: Companies that collaborate on projects within Bearish OS will have their relevant workspaces and documents linked directly to the company’s profile.
    • Associated Deals: All deals between your organization and the company will be logged and displayed, making it easy to track ongoing negotiations, progress, and outcomes.
