The Bearish OS Calendar Center provides robust notification and reminder options to help users stay on top of their schedules. Users can set up notifications for events, meetings, tasks, and other calendar items. Additionally, the system automatically handles guest invitations and sends out reminders for both organizers and participants.
Setting Up Event Notifications
Event notifications allow users to receive alerts before an event occurs, ensuring they are well-prepared. These notifications can be customized based on user preferences.
How to Set Up Event Notifications:
- Create a New Event:
- Follow the steps in the Event Creation and Scheduling section to create a new event.
- Notification Settings:
- In the event creation or editing popup, there is an option to configure notifications.
- Select when you’d like to receive a notification. Available options include:
- 5 minutes before
- 10 minutes before
- 30 minutes before
- 1 hour before
- 24 hours before
- Users can select up to two notifications for each event.
- Notification Channels:
- By default, reminders will trigger as in-app notifications through Bearish OS. You can also configure notifications via email.
- The user can manage all notification preferences from the Calendar Settings to receive alerts as per their preferences (via email, in-app, or both).
Example:
- A user creates a meeting for 10:00 AM and sets reminders for 30 minutes and 10 minutes before the event. These reminders will alert the user at 9:30 AM and again at 9:50 AM, keeping them prepared.
Email Reminders for Events
In addition to in-app notifications, the Bearish OS Calendar Center can send email reminders for upcoming events, providing users with an additional layer of alerts.
How to Set Up Email Reminders:
- Select Email as the Reminder Channel:
- While creating or editing an event, ensure the Email Notification option is selected under the reminder settings.
- You can choose to receive email reminders at the same intervals as the in-app notifications.
- Guest Email Invitations:
- When an event is created with guests, Bearish OS automatically sends email invitations to the listed participants.
- The email contains event details such as the event name, time, location, description, and any links to video calls or external platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Guests can Accept, Reject, or mark the invitation as Maybe directly from the email. Their response is logged in Bearish OS and visible to the event organizer.
Example:
- A user schedules a meeting with three guests and sets email reminders for 30 minutes before the event. Each guest will receive an email invitation immediately, and another reminder email 30 minutes before the event.
Managing Notifications for Recurring Events
- Recurring events allow you to set up notifications for every occurrence in the series. You can customize reminders for each instance or apply the same settings to all events in the series.
Reminder Customization for Tasks
- Task reminders function similarly to event reminders. Users can set alerts for important deadlines and milestones, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
How to Customize Task Reminders:
- Set Reminders While Creating a Task:
- When creating a new task, configure when and how you want to be reminded.
- Reminder Preferences:
- Tasks can have reminders similar to events (e.g., 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 day before the due date).
With Event Notifications and Reminders, Bearish OS Calendar Center ensures users never miss a crucial event or deadline. Whether through in-app alerts or email notifications, both the event creator and guests stay informed and on schedule.
